Political Art

I am not religious. This is a very early practice watercolor of mine. I was experimenting with backgrounds, and painting print.

Practice Copy with Watercolors

My grandmother's home boasts many works of art. She was/is a stained glass artist. The above is a watercolor. I painted from memory, this was to be practice for the real thing. I later learned that the symmetry of stained glass works looks odd on paper. Or it just seems to look funny to me.

Doodles on a Journal

I like to doodle. There is a relaxation in penning swoops and curves. I like the Moleskine journals, there are several varieties for every artist.

Painted Number Sign for my space at Rapstine's Red Barn

I painted this for my shelf space at Rapstine's Red Barn in Beaumont, Ca. These videos are about thirty seconds each, and show the development of my background.
                                                      I accomplished my vision!

Art Is Life, Art is Living

Someone once told me that the truest form of art is life. I think he meant bearing life, in that case. The best work of art one produces is children. How can an artist relate experience without experience?

Music and mountains combine into an ultimate moment. Art is Mother Nature; her rocks, hills, shrubs, trees and all the space in between. Art is haunting melody, the composer wondering about life as I am. Art is freedom, the ability to enjoy the wide open road without limit or censure.
